I'm getting to old for this!
Today My brother Wayne and his friend Jack moved from Needham to Canton. My father and I had the so called easy job of picking up the Uhaul truck needed for the big move today. The company which is located in Norwood opens daily at 7:00 am. Dad and I arrived around 7:20 to find no one around. We waited for about 20 minutes until the hung over "employee of the month", decided to come to work. Now Wayne and Jack had secured the rental of this fine truck a few days earlier so there would be no problems upon our arrival. I waited in the car while Dad went into get the keys. A few minutes had passed when I saw him heading back. I rolled down the window and asked if we were set to go. He replied, "I don't have my license." "I dropped my wallet the other day and I must have lost it." I got out of the car and headed inside to give the clerk my license. While walking up to the desk my father asked me if I had a credit card, but before I could ask why, the clerked yelled over to us that the truck could not be released without a valid credit card. My father deals only with cash! I bailed us out of all that mess and off we went. Nice job Wayne and Jack!
It was around 8:45 when I swung by to pick up Nadine. We were to meet everyone who was helping at 8:00 this morning. Again, Wayne an Jack had made previous plans to have coffee and doughnuts for every one who was there to help. Food does entice us Tocci's! When we pulled up to the house, everyone was there waiting to start loading up the truck. Guess what? No coffee or doughnuts! Even though we were all weak from hunger, we managed to load up everything and head over to Canton. We all refused to unload the trucks unless we ate. They did buy us all pizza's, which we devoured in minutes.
The move was successful and we wish Wayne and Jack the best in there new apartment.
