They are probably the most remarkable human twins that have ever approached maturity. They are known as the brothers Giovanni and Giacomo Tocci. They were born on July 4, 1875 . . . The twins are connected from the sixth rib downward, and have but one pair of legs and a single abdomen. . . . They have two distinct stomachs, hearts, and pairs of lungs. The arterial and respiratory systems are quite distinct; the heart beats and breathing differing often in the two individuals. . . .
Their lives are distinct. They have regions of common sensibility, and of purely individual sensation. One often sleeps when the other wakes. There is no direct correspondence of their appetites. One may be hungry while the other is fast asleep.
In their general appearance there is nothing repulsive. They have bright, intelligent faces, not of the peculiar cast common to cripples. They are educated and write their names as souvenirs for visitors.
They are able to stand, but have not yet succeeded in walking, as each leg is governed by its own brain. The want of correspondence has proved fatal to any attempts in this direction. They can stand quietly, so that it is not only a question of strength. At their home they spend much of their time on the floor, using their inner arms for the most part, crawling and tumbling about and thus getting a certain amount of exercise. They can dress and undress themselves.
I think the third picture is my sister-in-law Debbie, but it has been so long since I have seen her I'm not sure. I hope to see her soon. I Love You Debbie!
Debbie the last I knew you where living in Millis, I think you where doing your kitchen over, that was 2 years ago. I bet the new kitchen looks great, I would love to see it before it's time to remodel again.
I had a moment this morning and I thought I would go back and see what was happening in April. Then I saw the picture of the little girl. Who posted that picture and did you share it with the people who put pictures on Milk cartons?? If you had, maybe her family could have found her back then, but maybe it's too late now. She's really cute...don't you think so! And Wayne, the picture is from the "60's...and that was her favorite dress!

The first child seems like she's been missing since the 50s, so I'd give up on her.
The second photo, Dear God, I had no idea the Tocci side had Siamese Twins! They should be fine. They have each other.
The third photo, I just saw her in that movie, Attach of the Amazon Women. Good movie!

I think that someone in this family has a little too much time on his hands....

Nate,
It's Ed that imports the photos and if anyone knows Ed, Ed gets what he wants no matter what it takes!
Remember that young man!
Debbie, Who?
