Memorial Day, Continued
Marcia wrote such a nice post about how she spent Memorial Day with her girls! What a wonderful thing to do with them, Marcia. You might want to see this story about a WWI soldier in Swampscott who is 110! Antonio Pierro (who was born in Italy) lives with his 97 year old brother. They are quite a pair.
So....how did the rest of you spend your Memorial Day Weekend? I know racing was a big part of Sunday for some of us. My Godfather (Ed) was at the Indy 500 with young Roni and Danny Mercuri. My father watched Indy on TV and then watched part of the Coca Cola 600. I flip-flopped that - watching only part of Indy and all of the 600.
Yesterday I read a book on my porch - this was the first good weather day on a weekend that I could do that.
Rose, we know, is basking in the warm Florida sun. I hope she's enjoying herself; she deserves it.
What did you do this weekend???

Marcia wrote the poem. I used it in my class and claimed it was mine. Got an A too!
Do you remember "mary"??? Waht a poet I am, so much so it makes my girls laugh. I can recite the poem to this day...it's as if I never left 5th grade...well thankfully I did move on.
Wayne sounds like a fun weekend for you guys and has there ever been a time when the food wasn't terrific at Ed's...I don't think so, of course I wouldn't know having never been invited...even after he got an "A" on my poem. Well, I still love you guys!
