Serving Sizes
Ok, so I know I wrote about serving sizes awhile ago, but in my travels last week I found something that just blew my mind in a serving size. This isn't my Tocci gene called "portion abuser" or anything, just good common sense.
I'm drinking a bottle of water, that I payed way too much for past security, in a Washington, DC airport and I looked at the serving size information. An 8 ounce bottle of water. How many servings? Go ahead and guess....I'll wait....

Think this is a trick question? You guessed 1, right? Or maybe you even guessed 2. Well, you'd be wrong - as was I. It says three! Three servings in a bottle that I downed in 20 minutes? Seriously? Three servings for whom? An infant? It's water - with no calories even.
Now I KNOW that the people who make up the serving sizes on ALL foods are just all wacked out. Really.
I'm traveling again this week - I'll let you know if I come across any other abnormalities in serving sizes.
Hope all is well with everyone!

I should have known! Those serving size people have it all wrong.
How can a 2 oz.portion or 2/3 of a cup of Mostaccioli be a normal serving size for a hungry Italian?
