TOCCI REUNION INFO
The committee met earlier this week and we have a full update for you.
When and Where:
Reunion is July 7 from 11am to 5pm
American Legion – Post 40 (same as the last reunion)
199 Federal Furnace Rd. Plymouth , MA 02360
508-746-7729
Directions listed below
Attendees:
We have approx 115 people attending and a few more that we are waiting to hear from.
Cost:
$10 per person. Kids under 12 are free. This pays for the facility, kitchen help and the provisions that the committee provides (see below in ‘food’ section).
Payment:
You can either send in your check to Kathy before June 30 or bring your money to the reunion. If you are bringing it to the reunion, please see Rose or Cheryl when you arrive.
Checks payable to: “Tocci Reunion”
Mailing before June 30: email me or leave a comment here and I'll email you Kathy's address. Do not mail cash, please.
Food:
Each family should bring 1 dish with them. I know some of the things that people are bringing and all I’ll say about that is “YUM!” and “Bring An Appetite” (ok, what Tocci doesn’t have one of those at all times?!).
Tape heating instructions (if the dish needs to be heated) to the dish. Glenn and Celeste are finding some help for the kitchen so we don’t need to have kitchen duty. Thank you both!
We will provide the following: juice boxes, soda & water, paper plates, plastic cutlery, plastic serving spoons, paper towels/napkins, trash bags, candy, chips and left over containers. We will also have coolers with ice in them for the drinks.
Games:
Wayne is bringing bad mitten, volleyball, Frisbees, bocce, horseshoes, soccer balls and a few other things. If your kids (or the big kids) would like anything else, bring it!
Karaoke:
Glenn is brining his Karaoke machine and everything he needs to run it. He does ask that if you have any Karaoke CDs to bring them, please!
Tocci Family Addresses:
It was suggested that we collect people’s addresses and phone numbers to distribute after the reunion. We’d all like to keep in touch at different points between reunions and we thought this would be a nice idea. For example, if you hear that someone has been in the hospital you might want to send a card – or if someone has a baby, you might want to call or send a note. Etc. You can either send them to me via email now, or we’ll have address sheets near where you pay.
Cookbooks:
As usual, the meeting ended with us all talking about food and the recipes that we have all put into the cook book. But, we are missing some very important ones and want to have yours, too….c’mon, Sharon has extended the deadline to this Monday, June 11th. Get out your recipe box and dig around for your favorite recipes and then get to your parents and grandparents recipes and send ‘em in. We want to preserve all the old family recipes for generations.
Until Sharon knows how many pages the book will be, we won’t have a price, but right now she is thinking it won’t be that expensive (less than $5 just to cover the cost of printing). They will be at the reunion for sale so if you want some, bring a little extra money.
Dos:
Bring bathing suits, towels, beach chairs, sunscreen, a cooler with ice (if you have it and want to, not mandatory because we’ll have them, too), Karaoke CDs (if you have them).
Don’t:
Bring alcohol – it will be for purchase there.
Bring animals – the place does not allow them.
Special notice:
As most of you know, Paul Adams has been very ill for a long time. Kathy tells us that that he is now doing better and in a rehab facility down the cape. That’s such good news! Their daughter, Paula, has run a marathon to raise funds for cancer awareness and she’s doing it again! I’ll let her tell you about it….
Paula Lupien (daughter of Cindy Sammarco and Paul Adams) is running a Marathon in
Honor of her Father Paul who has been batteling Lymphoma for the past three years.
It has been her mission to raise money for the Lymphoma Society to help find a cure
for this horrible disease that has taken over her Dad's life.
Please visit her website to see how you can support her efforts through this.

That’s all from here for now. If you have questions, please let me know. If not, I’ll send one last email before the reunion and post any last minute details on the blog.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!!!!
