a quiet Tocci
I had the recent pleasure of attending the Honors Breakfast at Millis Middle School. I am not writing to brag about my daughter, but to tell you about the oxymoron that I heard that day. Two members of our family were present to accept their certificate of achievement, my Bethany and Kevin Sabitus. Each time we go to one of these breakfasts, there is always one student that receives the "Principal's award for best student" of the term. Usually a boy, then a girl, etc...This time the 8th grade student of the term was introduced as " a quiet scholar", and followed by the name Kevin Sabiuts. There is nothing wrong with that statement as Kevin certainly is a scholar and most likely quiet (I usually get shy "Hi" when we see each other)...look at his mom and grandmother Rose. But I giggled when I thought of any Tocci as "QUIET". If only they knew many of the other "quiet" Tocci's. Put all the kidding aside, (here's the bragging part, and I am doing it for Debbie too!...see I lied!)) Congratulaions to both Bethany and Kevin for repeatedly achieving the level of grades needed to be honored at "Honors Breakfast" at Millis Middle School.
